Statement by Wheaton College Faculty Regarding the August 2017 “Unite the Right” Marches in Charlottesville, Virginia

Below please find a statement by more than 150 Wheaton College faculty. A PDF of this document is available here.

Signatures were solicited at a recent meeting of the faculty and online. It is possible that some faculty were not aware of the opportunity to sign the statement. Others may have agreed and wanted to sign, but felt for some reason they could not. Still others may have had reservations, spoken or unspoken, about this course of action. Please do not assume that faculty who have not signed the statement stood in support of the marches, violence, and racial injustice in Charlottesville.

More signatories may be added.

Please direct inquiries to Gene Green, George Kalantzis, Bryan McGraw, or Noah Toly.
